Kilwins takes pride in this passing down of processes and traditions and uses some of the same equipment to make our products that we did back in the 1940s. While we’ve upgraded and modernized our facilities since then, we’ve kept much of what makes Kilwins a nostalgic Americana-style chocolatier and ice cream maker.

After positioning Kilwins as one of the top chocolatiers in the country, we expanded our offerings to include ice cream in 1985. In order to ensure that our ice cream really is as rich as advertised, we use high-quality ingredients to create our Kosher-certified, “Super-Premium” frozen treats.

Once we make our own premium base ice cream, we mix in inclusions like caramel, chocolate, nuts, and other quality confections to create dozens of different flavors, with our proprietary ice cream formulations only available in Kilwins stores.

Like everything else we make, we weren’t satisfied to merely make something pretty good—we wanted to make something just as good as the chocolate we produce, and we’re confident in our results and encourage you to judge for yourself. We’ve been steadily expanding the flavors we have offered over the years.

While the majority of our offerings are available year-round, we also create limited flavors to celebrate different times of the year, so check in with our Arlington Heights location to see what we have available today.
