We’re honored to serve our community at our Fishers ice cream store, but our story didn’t start here. Kilwins began back in 1947, when our founders Don and Katy Kilwin opened the first store in Petoskey, MI.
The Kilwins’ goals were simple: to serve the highest-quality sweets with the best customer service and have fun doing it. They started off as a bakery, expanded to chocolate and candies, and quickly incorporated nut brittles, fudge, caramels, and our famous TUTTLE™ Nut Caramels.
We still use many of the Kilwins’ original recipes and candy-making processes today. Our perfectly chewy caramel is still made by hand in copper kettles, just like we did in the 1940s.

After a few decades of serving chocolates and caramels, we knew we were ready to take the next step. We began making our Original Recipe Ice Cream 1985, and we’ve perfected our recipes since. Many of our flavors feature high-quality inclusions such as fudge, salted caramel, and real pie pieces.
However, the secret behind our ice cream’s signature texture and superior taste isn’t the ingredients we use—it’s how we transport it. We ship our ice cream tubs to our Fishers chocolate store in our own temperature-controlled trucks to ensure the ice cream stays the perfect consistency.
Kilwins Ice Cream Flavors
Our ice cream comes in many classic flavors, such as chocolate and vanilla. However, you can also try one of our limited-edition flavors if you’re feeling adventurous. Along with toppings like chocolate chips, sprinkles, and nuts, we also offer our own proprietary hot caramel and hot fudge.
If you prefer a treat that’s easier to enjoy on the go, try one of our milkshakes or malts. They can be made with any flavor of our ice cream. Just ask one of our friendly staff members, and they’ll be happy to help.
